Loret will Give us a presentation about the box of yarn v. Gogh used to work with in order to predict the interaction of color before he put the colors on canvas. The box was found in his studio in Paris after he died en became a topic of research while preparing an exhibition on v. Goghs work practices. Loret Karman was contacted to reconstruct this box of yarns and worked with the conservator of the v. Gogh museum to make a replica. The story about this box is still relevant for everybody who loves textiles, since it gives us a great tool to study the effects of using colors in textiles.
